THE DAY WITHOUT PAIN

The pain stayed in my body rent free,
The hurt bound my soul in the chain,
Wetness in my eyes desired the day without pain

The suffering broke my will to live,
Not just physical I felt mental strain,
Couldn’t wait for the day without pain.

The life wanted me to scream, but I laughed,
It made me go mad, I kept myself sane,
I am eagerly waiting for my day without pain.

I buried my agony in my smile,
I hid my torment in jokes, so lame,
Dying to live for real on the day without pain.

Can’t even imagine how unappreciated it was,
Now I plan to enjoy it fully when it came,
Wish to cherish as much the day without pain.

When it will come, I shall dance to every tune,
On the day I will not be afraid to ride bike in the rain,
I am certain, I will soon have my day without pain.
